Charoite is an extremely rare silicate mineral that is translucent violet to purple with a swirling pearl luster, which is only found in one place in Russia. It is heat sensitive, mechanical cleaning should be avoided. It is recommended to use mild detergents and soft brushes or a cloth to clean it, and to never use strong and toxic detergents on it.
